Straub Collaborative is seeking a skilled and experienced Controller to oversee our Accounting and Financial Reporting functions, as well as manage all financial services, including Credit, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable. This position will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

As our Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting, safeguarding company assets, and establishing robust internal controls in alignment with US GAAP standards. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding financial decisions, optimizing financial assets, and coordinating accounting operational functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee general accounting, cash management, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage the monthly close process and collaborate with financial analysts.
  • Develop integrated financial models for leadership and accurate cash flow forecasts.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and implementing recommendations.
  • Supervise federal and state tax reporting and oversee payroll accuracy.
  • Establish relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Provide actionable insights to senior leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain accounting systems, internal controls, and financial policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Gravity accounting software (or similar).
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and leadership skills.
